The “Impact” stage was created to Impact the Cornerstone community by giving Christian musicians and bands a first class stage to showcase their talents and spread the word and “Impact” their audience about the Love Jesus Christ has for all of us!
The stage and equipment is provided by God with help from our sponsors’, Shawn & Pam MacDonald, our children David & Matthew and our great friends Jeff & Retta Briggs. Together we all operate and run the stage. Without everyone’s great help and efforts, the “Impact” stage would be silent and an unrealized vision.
The “Impact” stage is co sponsored by Mac Rak Incorporated and Complete Powder Coating both located in Crest Hill Illinois and 3Hamms Web Design. Without their dedication to the “Impact” stage project, this never would have been possible. My deepest thanks to all of you!!
Music is a universal language to “Impact” People about Gods Love for us. We were created to Worship and serve God! We must give back to move forward!
In 2009 I came to play with a new band and we started talking about playing on our own generator stage but two of the three of us had never been to Cornerstone and we did not have enough knowledge or a stage or enough equipment to even think about doing it. All I can say is God truly works miracles and provides everything to Worship and serve him. We sat down and discussed how the stage would look and operate. I sat down after that and sketched a design for the stage and two weeks later I built it! The equipment came together largely due to an amazing increase in our business that allowed me to acquire the additional PA. Equipment I needed to support the Artists.
When I arrived at Cornerstone 2009, I was amazed at what I saw! There were 30+ Generator stages of all types that people built for the same reason I did, to glorify God and “Impact” everyone! I discovered Cornerstone and learned about generator stages, How AWESOME! What an amazing way to give up and coming artists a place to share their music and positive message. I was so blown away and I realized that the stage I spent 5 minutes sketching and two weeks building was a vision that God put in my head to Worship him! The thing that brought me to my knees was that I had never been to Cornerstone, I never built a stage, I never gave it any thought! God chose me, my wife Pam, my Children and my great friends Retta and Jeff to build something much bigger than all of us to worship him through the gift of music. We had a great time for 6 days with numerous bands and awe inspiring musicians that played on our stage, it was an Awesome Blessing!
